Continuing on...

My hubby drove me to my first interview Tuesday morning. I was excited, nervous, and a little skeptical. He started asking what I knew about the company. I told him "they are vague on their website and since they are a new company there didn't seem to be much online. However, they emphasize face-to-face contact and are training people to become account managers. It sounds a little fishy, like it is a door-to-door job, but I guess we'll find out". He took it upon himself to look online (while I was waiting to go in for the interview) and found a few things that I didn't find the multiple times I had searched, reviews. Reviews from previous employees and a website based on "SCAMS". This is what we found....

*Nashville Business Consulting (Nashville, TN)

Nashville Business Consulting/NBC Inc (1200 Clinton St Suite 212, Nashville, TN 37203, 615-891-5260) is a Cydcor ICL (Independently owned Corporate Licensee). Cydcor affiliates advertise entry-level jobs and management training, but in reality they are recruiting for door-to-door commission sales people. Cydcor affiliates use the term "face to face" instead of door-to-door.

If the job ad for entry-level training for sales, marketing, management "sounds too good to be true", be cautious and ask lots of questions during the job interview. Is the job door-to-door sales, commission only, and with no benefits?  Will you be an employee or a contractor? Outside sales require driving which means gasoline expense. Are you sure you really want to work on commission pay driving possibly hundreds of miles a week?

RipoffReport, Nashville Business Consulting

The company states it was founded in 2007 yet their website domain name was created in 2009.      /end*

Therefore, I called and canceled the interview as we were leaving the parking lot of NBC Inc. and headed on to our next destination.

Today looked a little more promising, but I will discuss that in more detail later. :)
CHECK BACK!
